About The Civil Engineering Department (SPANZORS)
The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the year
2009-10. Though young the department has full strength of Teaching and Non-Teaching faculty members.The department has two professors,four associate professors and eight assistant professors with rich experience in teaching and industry with an average of fifteen years and above experience. The department is working under the stewardship ofProf.Y.V.Gopala Krishna Murthy who is also the founder
and General Secretary of the college.He has a very rich experience of more than 20 years in teaching and indusry.
The Department has a very senior Professor Dr. P.Jagannadha Rao with a very rich experience in teaching U.G and P.G course and in reseach activity. His experience in teaching and research spans to about 46 years.Earlier ,he retired as professor and Head of Civil Engineering department of JNTU,Kakinada in the year 2000.
He has also organised various International and National Conferences with participation of experts from various Countries. He has been in Board of Studies for various Universities and Member of panel of experts for Staff selections.
The Department, though young, has got all the Laboratories well established viz., Strength of Materials, Surveying, Auto Cad ,Fluid Mechanics & Hydraulic Machinery, Engineering Geology, Geo technical and Concrete laboratories.
Many of our students has participated in various seminars,workshops,quizzes at national and state level and brought laurels to the college .
